Bucktown is allegedly named for the enormous number of goats that were raised in this area during the 19th century. Polish immigrants were known to be the first settlers in this area, and later Germans. Today Bucktown is a super trendy neighborhood made up of single family homes, high rise condominiums and industrial loft spaces. The boundary lines for this area Fullerton to the north, Kennedy expressway to the east, Western avenue to the west and Bloomingdale Avenue to the South.
